This Systems does it all
I purchased this a few months ago and installed it myself. It was very easy to install using the Cructhfield supplied cable that allows direct connection to the factory wiring harness. This system is top notch and will do everything you could ask for. First off it has the standard radio channels like AM and FM, but does anyone even listen to them anymore? So add the JVC SiriusConnect and you have satellite radio at its best. But still if thats not enough radio for you ,this thing has HD-Radio built in, so you can even listen to all your local favorite HD stations. But if that isn't enough for your Radio listening pleasure how about streaming iHeartRadio or Pandora to this machine via bluetooth from your phone. Thats right you can stream iTunes, iHeartRadio, Pandora or even DSAudio from your Synology disk station at home. So how about the navigation feature? I've taken a few long hauls with this and I have to say that one of the neat features is once you plug in your...

Feature rich but serious deficiency in Navi software
Update:
After just a few months of use, I replaced this with a Kenwood DNX9990HD and could not be happier. The Kenwood offers all the features of the JVC but with a Navigation solution that is actually usable. I no longer need to drive around with a portable GPS on the windshield as I did with the JVC.

Having previously owned a KNX-7000 I was really excited to get hold of the new JVC Navi. JVC tends to offer a lot of features for the dollar. Most of it works really well and other reviewers have covered the many good points with which I will concur.
Unfortunately, once up and running, I discovered a software deficiency that I deem as so fundamental that it took the KW from a 5 star to a 2 star rating. Stated simply, the JVC does not allow you to view your routes as text. This is a flaw in all of the 2011-2012 JVC models.
Just about any GPS on the planet will allow you to view a listing of the...
Excellent Purchase
For anyone thinking of purchasing this HD navigation system. I have two words for you. Get it! So far, I believe JVC is the only manufacturer that has produced a dual din car radio with a detachable face place. How cool is that? You won't have to worry about it getting stolen. Although I upgraded my entire audio system, the sound quality is ten times better than the factory radio that it replaced. As a lover of sweet reggae music, I've got to have some bass and this thing rocks--with excellent highs, mids and lows. It plays my music from several forms of media devices--CDs, DVDs, and any MP3 player using a male to male headphone jack from the MP3 player to the front female interface port. There is also a second interface in the rear that can facilitate a second auxillary device. It also uses an SD card. Caution with the SD cards! Invest in a good quality SD card as inferior quality cards can damage the device and lose your files. Another really cool feature is the USB...
