Should have bought a Garmin Zumo
I had read the reviews and did not like the description of the bluetooth ear piece since I also use a half helmet. But the price was right so I bought it anyway. What a mistake. Let's see. Where to start.
It takes much longer to boot up compared to a Garmin. If you are riding with friends, they'll be a 1/2 mile down the road before you can hit "I agree". The Garmin does this much faster.
The interface is not intuitive. I admit that I'm used to using a Garmin; you type in the address and you hit GO. That's all there is to it. With the WorldNav, after you enter the address, you hit "create route" and it loads the map files. That can take 2 or 3 minutes. And don't try to enter an address while your bike is idling. It will enter "GGGGGGGG" and then select Georgia as the state even though I wanted to select NH. Also, the touch screen does not always respond to your touch and the power switch is almost impossible to find in the dark.

GPS for my Bike
I finally got myself and Motorcycle GPS. I purchased it because I got tired putting my old non bike GPS into plastic bag so the rain will not get to it.
The price of the Worldnav was just right.
So far I am very pleased with the device. Menu is simple and I can navigate and clearly hear commands. The device does not have XM but it is not that important to me.

I followed Teletype advice and spliced my cable with 3.5 mm adapters that I purchased from Radio Shack. You need one 3.5mm plug and 1 3.5mm jack. That took me about 15 min to do as I am familiar on how to do soldering. They also offered to me to do the job. ($$)
Extension or other type of cables can be inserted.
This option gave me flexibility not only to use their dedicated Bluetooth headset but also my own headset. I will be...
Cheated by Teletype
Buyer Beware TeleType WorldNav GPS
I bought a TeleType GPS in April 2011 and, as instructed, registered the product on line.
It did not work correctly from day one, several major problems with data, conflict between verbal and visual instructions and it kept freezing. I complained. They sent me a patch on a micro chip, it resolved only one of the problems. After a few weeks it froze and this time would not reset. I complained again and they promised, in writing, to refund me, they sent me a return authorisation code, return form and details where to post the product to receive the refund. Because of their promise to refund me I bought a new Rand McNally RVND 5510. I also informed them that I would do this and returned the unit to them.
After two weeks I asked why I had not received my refund, first they lied and said that they could not find my email address, (they have had 11 emails from me!), now they say I can't have a refund because I bought it...
